What exactly goes on in the QHS-TV Production classes?

Objective

The QHS-TV Production program provides skills essential for employment in this field.  Instruction is given in the operation of television production equipment.  Techniques in script writing, editing, animations, documentaries, and music videos are some of the new areas covered.  Selected students in good standing will be considered for Internships.

Our Goal

The goal of the program is to prepare all students for entry level jobs or post secondary education in the communications field.
 
 
What Goes On In The Studio
 
The TV-Studio, located on the 3rd floor of the Center for Technical Education, is the central control for channel 22 in Quincy.  All programming seen on channel 22 is produced and aired from the studio. 
 
 
What Type of Programming Do We Produce?
 
Students in the QHS-TV Production classes produce a variety of programs.  Monday through Friday, the Quincy High School Morning Announcements are aired live on channel 22 beginning at 7:45am for the benefit of the high school and the community.
 
Students also produce informational shows about Quincy High School and the several programs located in the Center for Technical Education.
